June was a quiet month for Lucie, I had planned to take her to the 50th Birmingham Reliant Rally in Nuneaton though having just put my house on the market, the Estate Agent had a number of folks who were keen to come down and view the house, that said I had two offers though both way below what I wanted.
Lucie was taken out though, as I was asked if I could display her at the Drayton Bassett 4th Annual Village Fete and so I drove her done there and displayed her along with the board. As always when you display a Reliant in Tamworth I met a number of ex-Reliant workers and had some fascinating conversations. I was amused by some of the comments after reading the information about her. One couple questioned whether this was the actual Reliant from TV and the other said, “No, it’s just been painted up to look like it and given the same reg number”.
