Following the MOT failure last month, once the steering box was repaired and a set of new Triumph Herald track rods arrived, I fitted the new track rods and booked the car back in for a MOT at S.R.Tomson & Son on April 2nd at 9:15am. This time I’m glad to say that the car passed with flying colours so that is the MOT sorted out until April 2010.
For Lucie the rest of the month was fairly quite as working one weekend and then going to to Croydon the other to fetch a 1935 Reliant 7cwt van for my brother and the month soon vanished.
Lucie did go for a couple of spins though and she now also shares the garage with a sign off the original Reliant building. At 11ft x 4ft it isn’t small but it isn’t that deep so it stores away nicely at the side of the garage.
Next month she will out and about at a few rallies and shows so I created a information board for her to explain why she looks so tatty. Once the National Reliant Rally has passed at the end of May, then I will start prepping her again ready for painting.
